Ingredients
  • 5 (5 oz.) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained (about 20 oz. / 565g drained)
  • 2 medium avocados, diced into ½-inch cubes
  • ½ small red onion, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • ½ tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. black pepper

Directions

  • Whisk olive oil, lime juice, honey, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Add tuna, avocado, red onion, and cilantro to a large bowl.
  • Pour dressing over. Toss gently to coat.
  • Serve right away or refrigerate in an airtight container up to 1 day.

Family Picky Tip

  • Mash the avocado into the tuna for a creamy spread kids can scoop with crackers. 

Optional

  • Serve with whole grain crackers, almond flour crackers, or on higher-fiber bread. (Adds gluten or nuts depending on choice.)
